Looks like larvae of some sort. Submit the photo to bugguide.net, they'll ID it for you.

These are when I first put it up, so no beans growing. But it worked really well last year.

So are those just standard cattle panels (50"x16')?

I think they bite, try putting one on your hand. My chicken will eat them if I cut their heads off.

What helps me is wearing white shirts, a wide brimmed light hat, constantly drinking water, and getting out of the heat before I get too hot!

I have these cooling arm things hubs bought for me last year, I’m going try those this year and see if they help at all.

Got the jungle from last year cleared out finally. Well, I started, went to get mid kid off the bus, and came back to my neighbors having finished it up and stacked ready to burn.

Tomorrow is starting some more seeds, and this week tilling it up and fertilizing the blueberries and strawberry patch

Umm, how on earth did you figure out you had to cut the heads off before your chickens would eat them???? Inquiring minds want to know.....
