What did you do in the garden today?

I hate when my hens lay their eggs in the bushes. I found a couple of eggs under my Lavender plants the other day, so I locked my chickens up for a day and I haven't found another egg at that spot all week., seem to have worked.

I also hate when they start to go broody and hog the nest. I have been taking a couple of them out of the nest when I go to pick up eggs late in the day. I will separate them if I find them in the nest tonight.

I managed to get the shade cloth on the SW side of the greenhouse last night.
Nothing but watching things do their thing today.
Drove around with the truck windows down yesterday and am stuck with an allergy sinus migraine today - effecting my ears too. :barnie So just sitting here quietly with the air scrubbers on.
Same here, too much time outside so the filters are all running full blast in the house.

My car looks like it's been abandoned for years. :lau

That's the way my countertops all look. I know ALL the surfaces are like that, but I only notice it on the counters, and the dresser, and the floors. UGH. IT's EVERYWHERE. I just cannot stand having the windows shut when it is sunny, breezy, 70 and DRY. I am paying for it.
I'm almost human again, so I'll pop more tylenol and go install 3 new garage side lights.

I can't believe you actually open your windows @WthrLady! I hate that I can't, but it's just not worth it. So we go from heat directly to AC here, there is no nice spring with open windows & a cross breeze, lol.
I can always point out a Yankee in the South. We are the only ones with our windows open.... 😂

I know. It gives my allergist fits. But I work outside all day anyway. I do run it on my days off and at night so I can breathe and give my lungs and sinus' a break. But it's not cheap. We usually go from cold to hell on earth quickly, but this year, we've had some nice days.
I figured out my trigger from yesterday. I drove to the city and around with my windows down in the truck. Shoving pollen and dust directly up my nose at 70mph. Yep, that'll do it.

I had my house open in Florida and Alabama all the time. Slept with them open even in the winter. Neighbors thought I was crazy. They were not far wrong. :lau
