What did you do in the garden today?

We might get a frost tonight, so I covered the seedlings that needed to be covered and brought in the seedlings that aren't in the ground.
I have my plants in the dog crates still. The crates are covered with sheets, and then have heavy duty plastic tarp laid over that.

Low of 36, so :fl :fl that they're ok.

:fl:fl for you too, @Swiss!

Which part of Michigan do you live in? We used to go camping up in Manistee every Mother's Day weekend to hunt morels when we lived up north 20 years ago. I can remember dealing with snow a few times... It's over 90 degrees down here today. I can't imagine being worried about frost right now.... 😂
I'm about an hour and a half south and east from Manistee. It's just hard to not plant stuff out when the weather is nice for two weeks, and the 10-day forecast shows more of the same.... luckily, I have enough sheets, and didn't get everything in the ground.

My tomatoes are pathetic.... there are a few who have actually progressed, but most are still seedlings, and their seedling leaves are yellow or gone, and the first set of true leaves are itty bitty and have been that way for weeks now. It's frustrating... I feel like they all should have bounced back by now, but only a few have (and a handful have died). I'm still not sure what I'm going to do about that... maybe kill the

I saw you were taking the smart route, and plowed ahead with planting stuff, anyway. I think it was because I just got so frustrated with how bad my tomatoes are doing, but they are still in their red plastic cups, so get to be safe in the garage... unless mice like to chew baby plants... which would be sad.

The 0.1" of rain yesterday made the weed seedlings in my garden very happy, so I'll have to rake/pick them out tomorrow.

My not-wild strawberries are about to burst into bloom, and it makes me so excited!!!

I managed to pull some weeds and add another layer of horizontal trellis over the peas today before we went to a mother's day brunch.
Some of the pepper plants have flowers I noticed.
The walking onions are opening up their "buds" and preparing to grow the topsets.
Bok choi is starting to bolt - I removed the flowering portions to try to delay the bolting. We have eaten bok choi twice and DW had fed a bunch to rabbits. It would be nice to get a few more servings out of it though.
