Planted more sprouted seeds. Cucumber, cushaw squash and bush beans, Planted beans in a wide row and put bottomless wire cages over the row. Darn rabbits love bean sprouts and plants. Planted the thyme.

Yellowing leaves is a sign of magnesium deficiency, have you tried Epson salt?I just went ahead and plucked them out and tossed the plants with their rootballs into the woods. I don't really think they're diseased, but better safe than sorry. The basil I planted at the same time looks the same, yellowish. Leaving them in place to see if they perk up.

Same. 91 here at the moment. I don't even want to be outside....We are suppose to hit 90 today.
I've started onion seed in 60-72 cell trays and transplanted them with the seed starting medium attached. That worked real nice with TX Granex (Vidalia). I would think any onion could be done that way if started at the right time of year to be transplanted when the time is right. This is the first time I've tried onions from seed. Not doing well here, either. Lots and lot of seeds sprouted, and about half of the little seedlings fell over and died. Or died and then fell over.
I've had MUCH better luck with sets, so I've planted about 3/4 of a pound of those, and have lots left to plant. I put a lot of them around my tomato plants. That means they don't go in the ground until the 'maters are in.
Does anyone know if there are any tricks to growing onions from seed?
