What did you do in the garden today?

I feel like I have known some of you for a very long time and I want to let you know about some tragic news in my life. An administrator can take to us down if they need to.
On Mother’s Day my 35 year old son tried to kill himself by dousing himself with gasoline and setting it on fire.
He has 3rd degree burns over 65 to 73% of his body. We don’t know if he will make it or not. If he does he will be in the burn unit if the hospital for at least 3 months and then have extensive rehabilitation after that.
My only gardening was trying to remember to water the r basil and cilantro I’m growing from seed. And I need to put some butterfly weed roots that the one company resent me.
Any prayers are welcomed Thank you.

Okay, so maybe that's what I need to do for my tomatos! I'm so upset...the squirells have discovered they like my tomatos and I get so upset everyday to find my not fully ripe tomatos half eaten!

Now they have moved on to the green tomatos as well, so they aren't even getting the chance to start ripening! arrrggggg! I'm so mad, I can't stand it.

But to get back to the thread topic. I picked zuchinni, yellow squash, green beans and pickeling cucumbers. Beautiful veggies.
Sounds like it's a good time to go to Walmart and purchase a pellet gun. Take that them daggum squirrels

Today I put holes in the bottom all of the gallon milk jugs and 2 liter bottles I had been saving. I found the idea on pinterest.com to use them as a slow drip watering system in my tomato garden. Since tomatoes don't like to get their leaves wet, I can now just fill up the jugs and let the water slowly leak out.
Thank you for the idea. I have a lot of milk jugs saved up. I'm planning on using them as a way to keep the cats out of the garden. The bottles on the other hand are a good candidate for watering. Thanks for the tip. Happy gardening

Love those tomatoes!! Let's see, I tied up some vines, then I got a rash

I picked a few beans and an overlarge zuchinni...I like 'em better when they are little..plus I tied up some sunflowers, and picked a few cherry tomatoes, and admired the tiny yellow crookneck squash, they are only about 3" now!! !! Am I supposed to wait until the entire bunch of cherry tomatoes is ripe, then pick it? I've been just taking a few at a time as they become ripe! I'm new to gardening! The best part was watching my 3 little ladies wander and forage around in a new area!!
I had a bunch of cherry tomatoes last year and I picked them as soon as they were ripe. Then the problem came in to the picture and the little pain in the back side ate my tomatoes and what really sucked about it was I was actually nice enough to share. She didn't. Daggum Chihuahua.
