What did you do in the garden today?

Pulled up all of the broccoli plants, they were putting out very small "heads" (can't really even call them heads! The chickens liked them though. I also harvested my 1st cucumber of the season! Had a bigger handful of cherry tomatoes ( I still ate all of them before I went inside  )
hey love the little ones have only had lettuce, arugula, dill and other herbs so far from ours been so darn wet.. broccoli has little but growing heads..

Here is a little taste of what we grow. Some new, some last season or so. We over plant stuff, more than we can eat.. but our Chickens eat very well.. So do the piggies etc. My Hubby is Picture Obesed. He snaps a shot on just about everything we do on our Farm anyway. Kind of nice to sit back and look at all the hard work we have done long after we ate the food and forgot what it looked like. The rain is bad this year. might as well take photos before the weather destroys it all.
enjoy!

Nice!

Today, I continued spreading wood chips in the garden. Am laying down cardboard in all of the paths first. Picked almost a pint of strawberries.
I have a SEVERELY overgrown garden (it has been neglected due to a LOT of new chickens this year). Putting cardboard down is my next task before I see if I can get a late summer crop in - thanks for reminding me! (Of course, my storage space looks like I belong in an episode of Hoarders because I've been saving every single cardboard box for ages for this.)

Taking some days off work later this week so I can go ahead and GET ER DONE!!!! :D

I only had enough time to water my garden and pull a couple of weeds. I too have been wanting to snap a few pictures to share with you all. Maybe I'll get to it tomorrow.
Feel like that myself been so wet here allot has not even started others flourish 4 of the new birds in the new coop are roosting in the trees
