What did you do in the garden today?

Well, darkness is closing in and the snow has started to fly. By morning we'll have 8-12 inches of snow, but winds will be pushing it around so much, there's no way to measure it. Drifts will be massive.
The noodlenecks are locked inside with deep, deep straw to lay on, their coats are on, and they have an extra stall to sit in and complain about being locked in. They also have heated water and a radio.
The hens have to extra bales of pine shavings to stand on. All their windows are shut, and they have heated water as well and wide perches. It's currently 7'F and it's 22 in the run, and that's without sunshine. If we can get rid of the clouds with these intense cold days at least they'll be toasty and well fed the rest of the time.

Now we wait.
Windchills will be -45-52'F and normal temps Won't break above 0F until next Wednesday.
Lows will be down to -20F
Brrrrrr! That’s darn cold - please keep it! I don’t like winter!

Looks great. This place had me chuck my planner out on year two. Now I just work year to year, although I do keep a canning, dehyrator logbook.
I plan on getting a planner for canning and dehydrating. I told my husband that I wanted a dehydrater for my birthday so he told me to buy it.

An Excalibur 9 shelf digital
I have an Excaliber 9 shelf, but it's from long before they were digital. It must be 25 years old, at least. I finally had to replace the timer dial. Other than that, it's worked very well the whole time.

I just came across these Farmlite grow lights for a 4x 4 tent, they were $100 cheaper than the 4ft x 2ft capacity Spider Farmer grow light I just got. It also has great reviews...........
