What did you do in the garden today?

Yesterday, I started some celery (1st time for me) and some hot peppers, indoors. I have a few small containers to try some winter sowing. I may get those started, today. We had a week of spring-like temperatures, but are back to normal, winter temperatures, now. I opened the girls' chunnel, but will close it again, when snow is in the forecast. We have several days before that is expected

Burnt a big pile of grapevines, multiflora, and honeysuckle yesterday. Enjoyed the last day of warm weather. Temperature started dropping last night and snow in the coming forecast.

Be happy you are allowed to burn stuff, we live in such an dry environment and also health restrictions ( too much smoke= too much dust pollution) we are not allowed to burn garden material 😕

Did you try the regular remedies like
1. cut a piece of banana peel and tape it over the wart before bed, so that the inner part of the peel is touching your skin. Leave on while you sleep and repeat daily or
2. apple cider vinegar
mix 2-parts apple cider vinegar and 1-part water. Soak a cotton ball with this mixture. Place it on the wart, and cover it with a bandage. Leave it on for three to four hours.
Always dilute apple cider vinegar with water. The acidity may cause irritation and chemical burns. Also, don’t apply it on open wounds
3. crush up 1 clove of garlic and mix it with water. Apply to the wart and cover with a bandage. Repeat daily for three to four weeks. You can also apply garlic juice or rub a clove on the wart.
4. If you can get your hands on propolis , apply it on the wart. Place a bandage on top and leave overnight. Repeat daily.

I will try the mother from a bottle of kombucha.
Would it be as acidic straight, compared with ACV 2:1 with water? I don't have any litmus paper, unfortunately.

So far, all I've done is put raw honey (real stuff from a beekeeper) on the wart. I've done this for 2 days/nights.

Warts are stubborn, 2-4 days won‘t do the trick, it can take months of treatment for them to go away . Funny fact, my daughter was battling a wart on her finger ( doctor had been “icing” it for almost a year without it going away), she went on a student exchange to Ecuador, they had lots of sunshine and temperature around 35c and the wart disappeared within the month she was there 😅

Caught 3 mice in a repeating trap on top of the humidity dome over the onion seedlings. They dug up a few cells when I left the top off. I thought they would stay away from onions. No idea what they were finding.
I had to laugh, DH sent me this pic yesterday, it's a pic of the inside of the Case tractor. For whatever reason the mice love it & he catches 5 mice every single time he sets the traps. They just keep coming & coming, it's insane!

They’re calling for 9 to 12 inches of snow here on Tuesday. Wah! Then more seasonal temperatures in the low 20’s to low 30’s.
I'm happy for the cold & snow, the ticks will be out of control this summer if we don't get something. I think you've had more than we have this year tho. I *might* also be hoping for a snow day off from work. :D

I had some spring fever for sure yesterday. I started cleaning up some of the spent wildflowers from last year around the garden & in the beds in preparation for the new fence going up. Pulled up some old soaker hose & devised my peach tree pruning plan. I'm ready!
