Super nice out today, supposed to be even nicer tmrw, almost 70. Getting DH to pull together everything I need to get my strawberries planted in a GreenStalk, they are shipping soon. I'm still on a 5lb weight limit so he's got to collect everything so I can assemble potting mix & fill the GS without bending.

Well at least you got his stupid hot peppers started.
I know I said I might not do strawberries, but I've changed my mind. I'm going to give them a shot. Sueby, where did you order from. I haven't even looked yet, and hope I'm not too late

Today I put up another expandable compost bin. My 3rd. Then I flipped the contents of last spring/summer bin into it. Next, I'll need to flip the contents of the fall/winter bin into the newly emptied bin. It's a tedious chore that I hope will pay off. Do any of you add red wigglers to your compost?

Something is chewing on my broccoli and cauliflower starts. I'm betting crickets. They are inside the hoop house which keeps out most pests.

I don't have the new beds built for the potatoes yet but I had some eyes which were majorly sprouting. So I made a mad dash to the garden after work today to prep 3 mineral tubs for them instead... I put a bunch of small logs, sticks, and bark in the bottom. Topped with a layer of leaves and then 12" of soil. I still have room to add a few more inches of soil on top as they reach the surface. I hope that will suffice for those eyes for this season. I'll try to get at least one new bed put together this weekend for the rest.

Some of those insanely hot peppers also have great flavor. And yeah, when I first quickly read your post I got the impression you thought growing hot peppers was a stupid idea. LOL
