What did you do in the garden today?

My husband and I compete with gas. One time we were driving to work together at 4am, he farted... instead of rolling his window down, he rolled mine down! It was 40 degrees outside and raining. LOL.

7 years later today, I blocked off the whole kitchen entry with a fart of ultimate power. It took 4 minutes to clear so he could walk to the car. :D Hehehehe.
Ever see the movie Blazing Saddles? :gig

I think I've asked you that before... They are so pretty
They remind me of how 3 white Delaware hens I got recently look, or a sweet buff Brahma, they have these lovely collar area patterns ❤️ Sorry these are terrible pics of their collar feathers...I need to sort the thousands of photos on this phone so I can find what I want faster. I just love all of their collar feathers though, so pretty.

Made me laugh 😂

Yes, many dreams like that. A ringing phone was in several, then I woke up & the phone was ringing. That's why I shut the darn thing off at night now, too.

Ever dream about a house you lived in many decades ago, or about a house you've never even seen before? In the dream, I'm saying, why the heck are we here, I haven't been here in years, or whose house is this, it's not my house, and of course no one else in the dream even notices or acknowledges where we are or what I am saying about where we are. Really bizarre sometimes.
I used to dream about wandering through houses, room after room without an exit, like a big rat maze.

I have not seen Blazing Saddles...guess I need to check it out. I'm watching The Matrix for the 1st time tonight. Yeah, I know, where have I been right? I really did not watch TV until I was very ill from serious chemo 2005 to 2007. When you are stuck in bed alot, TV suddenly becomes a handy "go to". So I have a lot of catching up to do. In 2005 I discovered Seinfeld, I love humor!

Just a heads-up about Blazing Saddles: it makes fun of every stereotype, but it's still hilarious.

I love Young Frankenstein, too. It's definitely politically incorrect, yet makes me laugh.

Rain was forecast for this afternoon and tomorrow, so I made myself go outside and I'm glad I did.

I weeded the carrots that sprouted, and then planted more where the older seeds didn't sprout (raised bed #2).

I mowed around the coop, shed and the gardens, gave the clippings to the flock, which made them happy.

I added additional clippings to a new raised bed (#5), then added compost and partially rotted compost to this year's tomato bed (#3).

And I moved soil into new raised bed #4, from the little raised beds that failed, they were too shallow. And the fire ants used them as condos...

Sprayed my roses with Bordeaux mix tonight... And the brassicas and baby lettuce got a good dose of spinosad since something has been chewing them up.

I also went ahead and seeded some basil, cilantro, parsley, and comfrey.

Probably get my pumpkins, watermelon, melons, and peppers started tomorrow. I probably should have done them a couple of weeks ago but I've been so busy lately with work.

And I really gotta figure out where to put my dahlias and canna lilies. I have no frigging clue... I have some big mineral tubs but I can probably only get 2 or 3 dahlias per tub. Wondering if I should just build another raised bed instead...

You probably know this... Don't let her drink through a straw.

My mom said when my dad had his out, he ignored this advice and got a "dry socket," ie, pulled the clot out. The open wound STUNK and healed very slowly.
True! Instructions say no straw for 24 hours. I told her she’s restricted until Tuesday (shhh…). Regular painkillers are working pretty well. And she has shockingly no noticeable swelling so far!!! She had all 4 removed and 3 were impacted, but the roots weren’t so long as to be problematic. Maybe the pineapple juice really helped with the swelling. She’s supposed to drink it for several more days.
