I agree! Watching people enjoy great food, and sharing food, is a good feeling. And home-made bread takes such effort that I think it's one of those things most people don't bother with. My mum used to make sourdough overnight every week, 2-4 loaves.
I just make this recipe because it's really easy and fast.
But I used to bake sourdough a lot too. But I kept not baking frequently enough to properly maintain the starter.
