Thanks folks, no worries I'm fine. I'm kinda old fashioned, I just wash well with soap and water, then soak it in peroxide for a while and slap a bandaid on it. I'm young, pretty healthy and I've had my shots.
I get too many cuts to have treating each one with care be a priority. Most of them don't even get bandaids.
I get cuts all the time... Some I don't even notice until they're well scabbed over. While I was weeding the path yesterday I ended up with tiny scratches all up and down my arms. To be honest I might have kept working through this one if it hadn't started bleeding a good amount and realized it went deeper than I thought it had.
After treating it I went back out and kept staking up tomatoes, only to realize that I swiftly ran out of stakes. So I called up my sister (the one who I tomatoed with the other day) and offered to clear some of those big pesky downed branches out of her back lawn if she'd help me transport them back to my house in her car. She came over almost immediately and I now have some 20+ more 6' stakes to work with. Some are better than others but I'm grateful for every single one.
Every single branch and leaf on my property gets used around here. Nothing goes to waste.
Sometimes I even "steal" bags of lawn waste from neighbors who put them out on the curb on trash night for their leaves and branches. We're always desperate for carbon on my property.
Ooh, yeah I hope her sale went well.
Chili for dinner tonight. It's been cold this week so making a soup-like-thing is a genuine option for once.
