Is this blossom end rot? When I took blossom off it looked - ok?

May be just blossom was done its blooming time & wilted as they do? Keep a watch on the plants. I hate that rot end stuff when it happens! Guess we all do.

Yesterday, I plucked 21cabbage moth caterpillars off my kale, then covered with netting. I need to check, this morning - to make sure there are none I missed. The small plants may die - but at this point, I'm viewing it as a learning experience. Never grew Kale before and want to see if I can defeat the little b******s and revive th

Does anyone save zinnia seeds? Easy enough to do? Or should I just buy them?

I went fishing yesterday and had a good catch. First 2 hours were slow but then we found a good spot. Some bluegills still spawning. The spawn is nearly over here.

I made some delicious tomato soup from the garden.

I got some mildew on my squash in the coop garden but I don’t care. The coop garden is so bountiful that I can spare a squash plant.

Banana peppers from the coop garden breaded in low carb flower and fried in bacon grease.

I’ve had some squash plants that made me think of mold bc of strange white lines in leaves.

We use fire now. LOL. DH has a flame thrower he uses. It works super well, just hit them with a little heat & it changes the cell structure of the plant & kills it roots & all.

Ugh! That's why I stopped growing rutabaga - the stupid cabbage moths. I'd like to grow broccoli or cauliflower but it just grosses me out so much. I was thinking next year in a GreenStalk & cover it from the instant I plant.

I'm headed to the garden store at lunch to pick up a ton of seed packets on clearance.

Does anyone save zinnia seeds? Easy enough to do? Or should I just buy them?

They are easy to save and the grow great. I have some I'm still using I saved 3 years ago and they still grow.

I saved zinnia seeds from last year's flowers. They germinated, but I have no idea what the blossoms will look like. Hopefully they'll be the same as the parent plant.

I saved marigold seeds too.
