What did you do in the garden today?

They look beautiful my mouths watering! Do you use the crisp stuff.

The sweet is way more involved and takes a couple of days. I guess the lime makes it crisp? Idk

My green beans are struggling this year. I think it's because of old seeds. I've sown nearly 2.5 dozen seeds across 5 different varieties and I've had about 3 plants actually germinate.

Me too old seeds ! I had 3 plants out of 12! I replanted with 3-4 seeds in holes. A few more came up and at least they're all gone now. I only had 1 out of 7 pole beans come up. !

I've canned about 9 quarts already and still have more to go... Mine are a mix of bread & butter and dill. Thinking of doing hot pickles with some.

Arkansas is not so rigid. You always retain the right to protect life and property. The skunk was getting into my eggs and looked like it had distemper or rabies. I now realize she was disheveled and unkempt because of where she had her den.

I've already spoken with a wildlife rehab provided by Game & Fish. She is coming to pick up the babies this morning. If I can get the others, I will bring them to her later.

Used to be not so ridged here. Used to be a around a thousand people farming community and was a gravel road. Nowadays 24 thousand

All my pole beans died within a few days of sprouting... But the seeds I used were at least 5 yrs old. My bush beans were between 1 - 5 yrs old. Even had only a few of those actually sprout.

Yum! Are you adding cayenne to spice it up? I found out adding whole one (peppers) didn’t make hot as I wanted.
I crushed my dill seeds last year and boy were they strong and sour! But oh so good

Same here. I had called about the bear trying to get my chickens & they said we had the right to shoot anything that was threatening us or our livestock. (not that we wanted to shoot the bear, lol, just good info to have)

My husband asked me to buy some Roundup for weeds. I will find a better way to get rid of them than using a chemical that causes some severe illness. I'm thinking that maybe if I can get some really strong vinegar and drown them in it, win win for me.

I saw yt about this : poor boiling water, burn it, vinegar = changes ph, baking soda changes ph, salt, cover with plate of tile =smother. This was specifically for crabgrass.
