What did you do in the garden today?

I admire my tomatoes and cucumbers daily. And I tied them up, again, today. We have some smallish zucchini that I can pick when I’m in the mood to eat zucchini. I just have one zucchini plant, and I haven’t seen any male blooms yet but I guess the bees are working overtime. I’ve stopped buying lettuce at the store because the Romaine in the garden is better and fresher. The jalapeño plants look sad but they’re producing, so oh well? Herbs abound. We have rosemary, sage, lavender, thyme, oregano, mint, parsley, basil, and cilantro/coriander.

Had one of those monster, great plains, mother ship storms at dusk last night.
It brought 10 minutes of 64 mph winds and driving rain, almost 2 inches.
If we had had hail in that of any size, we'd have been shredded.
Just rain this time.
We lost two branches on a birch tree, but they weren't huge.
The cloth around the garden fence saved the garden.
After the storm was stunning, the colors surreal.
Spent the whole morning moving the remaining 50 bales of hay from the shed bank to the barn, which leaves me a WHOLE barn to fill with this years hay, I hope!

Busy day...

Needed to restock my yearly hay supply. Wanted to pick it up last weekend but it was supposed to rain so I didn't. Ended up not raining... 😑 Decided to go this weekend since it wasn't supposed to rain. It was a torrential downpour on the way back.

I hate the weatherman. 🤬

Did pick up a new buckling. He's about 2.5 months old now... His name is Bishop.
