What did you do in the garden today?

Got the sprinkler set up for the grapevines. Gave them a quick drink. Rain forcasted for tomorrow morning. If it doesn’t happen I can do the watering. This afternoon I got started on the last garden area. The wild grass in there grew to around 2 feet deep. I picked a small head of loose leaf lettuce this morning and mixed it with some radish greens, carrots and radishes to go with my lunch. Tasty.

Yikes! Did you buy furniture??
LOL, I wish! DH eats a lot.

Had one of those monster, great plains, mother ship storms at dusk last night.
It brought 10 minutes of 64 mph winds and driving rain, almost 2 inches.
If we had had hail in that of any size, we'd have been shredded.
Just rain this time.
We lost two branches on a birch tree, but they weren't huge.
The cloth around the garden fence saved the garden.
After the storm was stunning, the colors surreal.
Spent the whole morning moving the remaining 50 bales of hay from the shed bank to the barn, which leaves me a WHOLE barn to fill with this years hay, I hope!View attachment 3857429
What a beautiful pic!

DH took down the old wooden pallet compost bins that were rotting & put up the new plastic ones I got. Some corrugated shed siding in between the pallets & fence so it doesn't rot the fence out. My compost is already looking pretty good.

Had to go to the Depot to get some hardware for the compost bins & I couldn't resist. I needed some bush beans, I have lots of pole, but not many bush.

Hoping for some rain tomorrow am. It was a nice, seasonable cool day today but I had lots of stuff to do indoors.

Busy day...

Needed to restock my yearly hay supply. Wanted to pick it up last weekend but it was supposed to rain so I didn't. Ended up not raining... 😑 Decided to go this weekend since it wasn't supposed to rain. It was a torrential downpour on the way back.

I hate the weatherman. 🤬

Did pick up a new buckling. He's about 2.5 months old now... His name is Bishop.

Awww what a handsome boy! 😍

I went worm hunting this morning and don’t believe there are no more. 🤔 I wonder if they know how to be still?
I’m excited about my hydrangea! This is the longest it has stayed white wo fading to dusty rose. Hopefully it will go deep red later in year!
My first watermelon to reach this size!!
Maybe we will have edible corn this year?! I so need to weed! 😑

White morning glory?
