What did you do in the garden today?

I think the green tomatoes, eggplant and pickles turned out great!
I remember why I only fry once a year! Ugh what a mess!!

Almost finished with laundry now. I wasn’t able to get the front yard mowed but I did trim the backyard so it looks a lot better. We got a little breeze so that helped. Fingers crossed I can get the front yard done tomorrow. I’ll also finish some watering tomorrow morning.
I did my laundry at 4:30 this morning while it was still cool outside.

I think I have cherry leaf spot on my Montmorency sour cherry trees, especially one of them. On that one, an entire branch has yellow leaves with small dark spots on them. On the other tree, it's a leaf here and there.

I plan to cut out the affected branch and pick any leaves. These will go into the burn barrel.

Has anyone dealt with this?

Unfortunately I can’t hang my laundry outside due to allergies and chemical sensitivities. So we got a thunderstorm this evening. Not much in the rain gauge yet but hoping for enough so I can skip in the garden watering tomorrow. I checked and I have plenty of gas to run the mower tomorrow. Hopefully the weather cooperates.

The garden veggies are protected from deer predation by the fence I put up last year. Now they've acquired a taste for roses and columbines, so much so I haven't seen many blossoms at all this summer.

It's all good. They can eat all the roses and columbines they want. Just stay out of my garden!
