What did you do in the garden today?

Update: The invincible Roma tomatoes from Hoss Tools were kind of weak and had to be shaded. Furthermore, it doesn't grow well in a Kratky system. The roots look brown in comparison to the white Coral cherry tomato roots in the same line of nutrients and solution level. I think it's susceptible to root rot unlike the new 2025 determinate Roma variety called Shelby which has root rot and TYLCV resistance listed.

I just set my Shelby tomato and pepper seedlings in potting mix and placed them outside in the morning sun. I hope Shelby will do better in my yard. I am looking for a reliable paste tomato I can grow in my environment.

I just found an all natural way to kill crabgrass. I don't know how much of the ingredients to add but it's worth a try. Here's the ingredients list: wheat flour, cinnamon, cumin, sodium bicarbonate and corn meal. Sounds easy enough and it doesn't say it contains any toxins.
I don't know about all those extra ingredients, but baking soda has been used to kill crabgraśs for a long time. Just mix A couple teaspoons in a gallon of water and treat. Watch out for the regular grass around it.

I am doing a little experiment with things I don't see aphids' on like green onions, basil, Chinese parsley, American parsley, oregano and lavender. I put a mound of this mix around my eggplant like mulch. Ahid's always infest my eggplants.

I didn't buy my thyme plants yet, maybe today since its sunny. I also pegged one of those store-bought outdoor ant baits.
