Got my melon seeds today!

Aside from lettuce cilantro spinach and Swiss Chard, I don't know what else to plant. Unless you want to plant broccoli and Brussels sprouts cabbage

Radishes (not a green as such, but my understanding is the tops are edible)? Parsley?

Raining on and off here, so I'm prepping my beds for the Autumn greens. Any and all plant suggestions are welcome - I'm keen to try new things!

6 hrs after tornadoes warnings it started snowing. Just a couple inches heavy wet. No power lines down and Roads are fine. It's going up to 40f. I feel blessed

So happy you’re ok! I can’t believe you all are going through that and we are expecting almost 100 degrees by this time next week. Mother Nature is on a rampage.

I was able to change the order to a Bartlett pear. Customer service was very good.

you are lucky. I have been looking for about 10 years for that pear (we call it williams). it is very sweet and juicy. it also makes nice brandy.

The peppers I topped a couple weeks ago have started putting out new shoots at the leaf junctions. Look close and you can see them.



I bought some new pots, 5x5 inch, half gallon size, to up-pot them one last time. I pulled one out of a pot yesterday and the roots were starting to spiral around the smaller pots so they need more room to grow. They're not going into the garden until around June, when the soil should finally be close to the right temperature.

Strong winds again today. Oral surgery yesterday to extract a tooth. Doing OK. Planted 5 of the persimmon trees. Saw a forsythia in bloom. Waiting for it to warm up a bit before going outside.

When I was younger I ate radishes raw. They have a little bit of a pepper flavor but they're so good.
