In March/April I plant greens! Lettuces and kales and greens!

Heavy overcast and drizzle here again this morning, so I'm doing a lot of pruning of the herbs and revamping the raised beds.

I want to say mine were at least 3-4 weeks old before I put them outside... And night time temps were over 60 degrees. I'd post in the duck forum if you want to know for sure. If you can add a heat lamp in their coop, they will likely be fine with cooler temperatures.

I've only ever eaten them raw, grated into salads - delicious!

Likewise only eaten radishes raw. Now I’m curious, what dish requires them cooked?

Another Door!

We decided to make a walkway while keeping chickens in one area, and to finally make an outdoor safe area for chickens integration (not done yet). So wire wall with door with self closing hinges. Now we can walk between barn and garden area without chickens escaping, and silly goats don’t get out and eat chicken feed, or worse, make us chase them in the run.

Sliding up/down access door to indoor brooder, and the part we will make into an integration pen when needed.

New door makes the 7 th door in this area.

Doors 1,2 (into goat pen), 3 to garden area.

Big 4 ft door middle of run for clean out. Door 4.

Door 5: south end, smaller, for convenience, really.

Coop door (#6) and oldest door. Yes, the nest boxes open like a cabinet!

Two more doors nearby on separate coop - helpful for separation, has held turkeys, goats, meat chickens, breeding groups, broodies and bantams.

I roast a lot of veggies in sheet pans and radishes go right in there with the rest. They change to an almost sweet veggie when roasted!

Oooh, gotta try that now. I've only had them raw too, love them in potato salad.
