What did you do in the garden today?

Raining on and off here, so I'm prepping my beds for the Autumn greens. Any and all plant suggestions are welcome - I'm keen to try new things! :)
This year I am trying white eggplant in addition to the black round and long ones; the white eggplant was advertised as having a mushroom flavor, so I wanted to taste them. The must have herbs for me are Genovese basil, Italian parsley, oregano, thyme, and green onion.

I have been enjoying my Asian water spinach that I have growing in a wicking pot. I cut the tops off and microwave them. I have been eating them with slice tomato, basil, mozzarella cheese and olive oil. They grow back after I cut them.

I also, have a wild patch of Egyptian spinach growing around my mango tree. They grow like weeds in my yard. I eat the leaves and young green pods. They are slightly gooey like okra in soups.

Okra is another must have for me, I love them.

A while back I ordered and planted a packet of Clancy potato seeds and out of 12 seeds, I got 2 to grow into seedlings. Next time, I will lay a tissue paper down on the coco peat and cover it with a thin layer of coco peat. I think I will get better results with the tissue paper. Anyway, I will try to grow these and get some seeds from them.

A while back I cut a potato eye out of a supermarket Yukon gold, and it had only 1/4 inch of the potato flesh attached to it. It grew a foot before it got infested with aphids which freaked me out and I sprayed it with neem oil. However, the neem oil was too strong for the tender plant and a month later I dug it up and found 5 small potatoes ranging from 1 to 3 inches. I placed them in the shade. I will try to chit them for another experiment.

In conclusion, the potato plant died because it was not getting enough sun. Thats why the leaves couldn't handle the neem oil solution and other potato plants grown with good sun light exposer could. It was being shaded by two sweet potato cages next to it.

Thank you for sharing. I'm so happy they're doing good. Do you know at what age I can put my ducklings outside? They really stink and I am not okay with it so I'm trying to figure out when.
I want to say mine were at least 3-4 weeks old before I put them outside... And night time temps were over 60 degrees. I'd post in the duck forum if you want to know for sure. If you can add a heat lamp in their coop, they will likely be fine with cooler temperatures.
