can hear possum/s jumping on my shed's roof. They came yesterday as well, there isn't anything they can eat in my garden.

Some sun today. My Ayers pear tree blossoms are starting to open. The earliest of my pear trees to bloom. Self-pollinates. Plum tree blossoms are at petal drop.

I ordered an Ayers pear tree for this year!! They sounded great, so we ordered those along with Seckel and two regular type pears. I think the Ayers is a smaller pear, maybe similar in size to a Seckel pear.

My Stark order also got pushed back too. By one week. So supposed to be late April arrival.

Thanks! He gets so jealous though!! Scratch and love on Annie, and he’s demanding attention. He doesn’t head butt me though/ sometimes he head butts the teen, but teen spends more time with them.

FYI My oldest son works at the post office as a clerk. He said he got a message postage is going up again. Stamps will be $0.78. Small businesses around here mail out flyers weekly/monthly by the thousands, this really hurts them specifically.

I have 3 squash plants coming up in the garden area. Now I have to find a way to keep the chickens from digging them out

Goodness me, I finally got some eye shutting for a few hours.
When I was in my early 20, I worked and studied so I woke up about 2am to do my study and noticed my elderly neighbour next door was moving the bin.etc... I thought why they are not sleeping??? Now I know why.

I do not know if these possums eat chickens, I imagine that they can as they are quite big. This is the web photo, not the possums come to my garden. But I have seen them about that size, sometime with a baby as well especially mango season, they eat my mango fruit.

We put some spiky bar on the fence, then they find another way to get in, very smart. There are a lot of possum around here. I hope they do not eat chickens. I lock up my chickens coops carefully. My dogs bark when they hear noise outside.

I think if I point a flash light at the possums that come to my garden, they probably show teeth like your possum. We just never get close enough to see much except a quick stared at us and then hurried off.

It is very sad that many of them get killed on the road or bitten by dogs. When I took my dogs for a walk, they found a joe hanging on to its dead mother possum. I took it to the RSPCA wild life secure which happen to be 5 minutes drive from my house. We also got Kangaroos running wild in fear as they walked out of the bushland near by onto the road.
