What did you do in the garden today?

I really need to get back into the garden! My seeds i planted need watering if they are going to sprout! Today i put up 8 more pieces of cedar siding plus some small pieces on and around the nest box. Plus i sold my buddy , Pounce. I think the people will be good to him. View attachment 1137903

Good thing we don't live closer I'd be very temped to get a kitty from you.

This variety is supposed to be drought tolerant.
Thanks, those aren't struggling, are they? :D I should have a look at the nursery. They'll probably have something.
I would have said we don't get blueberries here, but sure enough, I saw them at the nursery the other day. I thought it was too hot for raspberries, but my "bunny helper" told me today that they used to grow them at her house.

Today in my garden, I found one of the chooks in the newly "fenced" veggie garden area. Not sure how she got in, I'm going to have to investigate.... I don't want her teaching the others.

This will be the third cutting off them this year. The guy I got them from says to cut them down to two inches off the ground. I usually leave about six inches as the smaller leaves are at least that. I planted them as a root stock in the fall last year.
Hope you find the hole in fence. They do learn fast.

Road Trip! :D

I'm not sure there is one.... My dog has been even more "chasey" than usual because he's got a bone out the back. She could have been chased and done an "up-and-over". She was alone in there, and when I went in, she went all frantic to try to get out, but didn't have any clue how to (not that she might not have forgotten where she'd come in, but I'm hoping it's a sign...) I'll have a look tomorrow.

I added a grapefruit to my new citrus trees. Please don't cark it when summer comes. Please.

I haven't done a thing out in the garden but water. Fell and hurt myself a week ago, but feeling on the mend finally. Don't think all the crepe myrtles are going to make it, maybe half. The rose bush still doesn't look good, so probably going to pull them tomorrow.
Today we are putting together a temporary coop in the chicken yard for the new littles. Holding off any hard work until later in the week to give myself a little more time to heal.

It's gorgeous outside, nice and cool, overnight lows in the 70s instead of the high 80s or 90s. Daytime temps will drop to the low 90s by next weekend. Finally!
Have a great day all.
Sorry to hear about your injury. Glad you're taking it slow - the most important thing is to get yourself healed Hope you continue to get better (fast!).

I have a hen that when I let them out to free range while I can watch them goes straight to the other pen and tries to get in there. Forgetting that hers is 30 feet away.
I was going to ask if she could fly over. Makes more sense if so.

Only the Female left to sell! I am trying to talk husband into letting me keep little Kiss , who has the flat chest condition. He is such a lap cat! That is what i wanted when i got his mother but she is more independent.
