What did you do in the garden today?

Didn't get pine needles raked, the weeds live for another day.
I did get two roosters the neighbors gave me put in camp fridge. In return I gave them pears from the tree. Then they gave me hot peppers so I can make a salsa. I've picked enough tomatoes for it. What else do I need?
Green peppers, onion, lime juice and spices from what i read. I don't eat much that is spicy or has peppers in it.

Tomatoes, hot peppers, onions, garlic, lime juice, salt to taste. Cilantro is optional. The more seeds you leave in the peppers, the hotter the salsa. I seed out half of them. We like to use Jalapenos and Anaheim, but any hot pepper will give the heat.

Making this reminds me of my dads tomato relish that he used to make. It was a sweet relish that he'd leave on the counter with cheesecloth and a rubber band. So it must have fermented some how. I know we really like it when it was made. It was in a gallon jug.
Will look thru my old (1937) cookbooks for information or recipe.
