What did you do in the garden today?

I managed to water just before dark, because i was busy shopping for things i don't need, if you ask my other half.
I got three more perennials for $3 each, i forget the name but they are red flowered. My azalea is flowering nicely.
Lowes had their non kink hoses on for $20 (for a 50 foot one). Mine kinked already:rolleyes:, so glad i got 2.

Watered heavy yesterday. Knew I would be working late today. Prediction was for high heat, into the 90's, end of this week. Santa Ana winds are coming and that dries out everything. Can't really do much more during the week unless I adjust my work schedule

Last 90* day today supposedly. Actually it's been really nice compared to the last few months. Tomatoes are finally doing something.
Been busy trapping ground squirrels that have been eating eggs and chicken feed.
Santa Ana winds can be wicked and hot. I also have/had relatives down in Southern California and visited every Christmas for several years. Haven't been there since 84.

Yesterday I got several loads of dirt moved, widened and leveled the area where the pavers go but have a little more work to do there before we put down sand. I'm considering a layer of cardboard between sand and soil to keep down grass and weeds.

Dumped a couple loads of rocks along the rv gate so chickens can't go under it. I LOVE my wheelbarrow!

Picked a few lemons, made a crustless quiche for dinner tonight so hubs doesn't have to cook today.

Found Daisy in the veggie garden again.... bye bye, seedlings. No pretty flowers for YOU!

That's a bummer! I swear they can squeeze into places we never thought possible!
