What did you do in the garden today?

I planted 6 broccoli plants, 4 red and 4 green bell peppers and 16 tomato plants. Plus I mulched the rows with newspaper and mushroom soil. I'm whooped :)

Planted these tomato cuttings . These are as large as the original plants . Nice roots after about 10 days . Pepper cuttings take much longer to root . Tilled some weeds . Picked some radishes . Had my break so time to go back out .

Yesterday, the hubby and I got 9 tomato bedding plants, a strawberry plant, a small aspen tree, and a columbine plant all planted. We had to wrap the tomato cages with chicken wire to keep the chickens out. :)

Thanks to a warmer and drier than usual spring. My garden thinks it is late June.

Dinner tonight from the garden.

Sautéed red onions, 3 types of zucchini. Steamed carrots.

I even ate a few sun gold cherry tomatoes.. This is the earliest I've ever had ripe tomatoes.

Watered vegies, harvested some lettuce for salads for supper. I found some bush cherries on sale on eburgess.com buy one get 3 free so I ordered one. Can hardly wait to plant them in the orchard.
