Dug up the rest of the Carrots, Picked 12 tomatoes, and finished pulling up the beets Love helping in the garden and looking forward to starting my own next year )))

we planted a very large garden over at my moms.. They had the spots already started from last year we just made them a little bigger..

Today I picked tomatoes and basil, made tomato basil jam. It was delicious.

Today? Not a blamed thing! I've got apples to can, jelly to make, animals to feed and water, laundry to do, dishes to wash, and a house to clean.

Sounds about like my day only I drove over 300 miles as well to pick up my daughter from camp.

I am allergic to an acid in fresh red tomatoes.. When they are cooked the acid no longer effects me.. Do the tomatoes get cooked when making the jam? Because that sounds really really good ..

Our friend has the same problem with fresh tomatos., but he tried my jam and did not feel the same sensitive feeling. So I think it's worth a try.

Yes they do get cooked just like you would cook any other fruit for jam.
