What did you do in the garden today?

In the last few years, our local hospital was growing and needed more space for structures and parking. I always felt sad to know several HUGE mulberries were removed. Huge, 30-40 mature trees. Having 4 new trees to plant on my property fills my heart again.

Perhaps try another company-- MANY out there.

Last year I had difficulties with one company that was far south of me. Too far south. WHen they sent the fall shipment, it was winter already here and too late to plant. Everything was left in the shipping box. I have not reordered from that company. I MIGHT try again for a spring order. . . maybe.

I'm lost-- does Mag play a part in this too?
Dark veins with lite yellow leaves is sign of Mag. side dress with Epsom salt about T if you've had a lot rain cause yellowing also. Still raining here had tornadoes warnings lack luster thunder storm. Stay safe

Hennible, DH and I are enjoying an afternoon in Nelson before taking the ferry back to our campground at Grays Creek. My garden is on its own for five days, and I sure hope some seeds sprout while I'm gone. They were planted 5/27, so maybe needed more time to come up: corn, zucchini, peas (which were making an appearance), climbing spinach. I think my neighbor will water while I''m gone. Potatoes are going bonkers, and I need to mulch them when I get back. I am overwhelmed by the sight of all the raspberries and strawberries in their early stages. I think all that feeding is paying off!

Yes, TC, sandy soil is so hard to work. My neighbor has it and is trying straw bales, but that's not going well either. I think it would have helped if she had gotten her bales last fall. It may be that raised beds are your best option, maybe?
