I had a neighbor down the road that has a beautiful garden. I stopped by one day when he was outside and told him how much I admired his yard. Then I asked him for some seeds. He gave me a bunch of hibiscus seeds and a bunch of castor bean seeds. I also got some wild hibiscus seeds from plants growing near the river, along with some flag iris for my ponds and some cardinal flowers. Thanks, that's pretty nice! Where did you get the Hibiscus seeds?
Quote: That's wonderful to have neighbors like that and places you can find wild plants.
I am surrounded only by cow pastures and catfish ponds. And they don't let you fish their ponds either. lol
I just found out that most of my seeds I bought for the garden this year from Berlin Seeds is an Amish company that sells the organic non gmo seeds.
I knew they were non gmo and the prices are great especially if you buy them by the pound.
I am trying to figure out where to get some garlic to grow in with some of my plants to help repel the squash bugs and cucumber beetles.
I don't think I buy any seed by the pound. I am going to plant a pound of corn but I am planting two varieties. I am going to plant some GMO corn 1/2 pound. And 1/2 pound of Hickory King. The GM corn is roundup ready and has BT in its genes. I have a place for the GM corn. The Hickory King is an old fashion corn. I want to see the difference. That's wonderful to have neighbors like that and places you can find wild plants.
