What did you do in the garden today?

We have had rain for nearly 6 weeks daily! My tomatoes turned to mush and the plants are dead. :hit
I am going to get some Roma seeds and pick up a Better Boy or two.
The cows love it when the fruit is not good and we have to feed it to them.
I took some cuttings from a couple of my fruit trees a few months ago and today I checked for roots.

The others are still in a grow bag in the garden I need a boat to get to.
I also started 3 pumpkin seeds.

I am still trying to figure out how to keep the squirrels from eating these. Since
it's the second time planting them. :he

Beer those onions look crazy!

We had a record breaking year for rain here this year. Went from drought to floods. But they are gone now and everything is back to bone dry. Dread tomorrow with all the fireworks that are not supposed to be lit in this part of the county.
Feel for you on all the plant issues.
What type of fruit trees root for you? I've grafted to suckers from the trees and grafted branches to different trees as well.

I am having internet issues today, but i want to say that i managed to get my soil amended in a 16 foot trench along the North side of the garden fence and planted my peas and sunflowers! More to come when i can get more digging done! I painted all of the shelves for the garage with kilz, now they need a coat of paint , hopefully tomorrow!

Awesome. How's the dogs new colors doing?
We got the sunflower seeds planted in the 4x4 raised bed also. Along with a few other flowers. Hopefully the deer will leave them alone. Other than that I did a bunch of little things that were on the list to do. Time consuming little buggers.

Today I harvested and watered real early, set up for more coop construction, weeded out some stubborn Bermuda grass, potted up some cuttings, then headed inside for the day. Too. Darn. Hot!

Agree it was 98 here only supposed to be 96. No humidity to speak of. Rest of the week gets hotter. Covered transplants with milk jugs to help with humidity.

Ok. My goal for the 4th will be to get my sunflower seeds planted!
