What did you do in the garden today?

They are a gardeners delight for sure. Was able to go through the store in Petaluma years ago. As well as going to the Santa Rosa food festival when they first started.

I tried finding paw paw trees locally this last year and struck out. I know my area is marginal for them, but I have a good spot picked out I think one will thrive in. I'm going to hunt for seeds, preferably as local as possible. I've been wanting them for so long! We shall see.

I have a bumper crop of PawPaws this year. If you can't find any, I can send you some seeds if you want to give it a try. I planted seeds collected from several states to get some diversity and most survived so they seem fairly hardy.

Yeah the coon is an unfortunate logo for us chicken lovers (and pawpaw growers). I never knew foxes could climb until I saw one up in a pawpaw tree munching away. I'd gladly trade those furry critters pawpaws for chickens!
