What did you do in the garden today?

I baked pumpkin down for great pies later... mixed a can of it to bake no crust... made a loaf of french bread to have spaghetti tonight have to have fresh garlic bread now going to bed
I mix a pint of pumpkin purée with the ingredients in a box spice cake mix, reducing water by 1/4 cup. Make a nice pumpkin cake.

Today, I'm moving tropical plants inside...we are expecting a hard frost. That will clear my deck.

Well, I watered and finished the last of the wood pile clean up. Stirred and watered the compost and raked up the mess. Put a cage around a plant that the chicks stripped almost bare. There's another that needs a cage too. Will get that done this afternoon.

Hubs and I looked at the car, tried something and thought we might have it licked. So I went to the Dr's office to get a prescription and test out the car. Issue is not resolved, and here I sit waiting for it to cool off so I can head home.:he:barnie:mad::mad::mad:

okay call me what you will I have no urge to make soap, or laundry soap or any other kind just saying :smack

I call you a lady who can find better use of your time! No sense trying to reinvent the wheel. However, I have been accused of pinching my pennies till they bleed, so an hour or two spent making laundry detergent works for me.

I used peppers and tomatoes from the garden in the lasagna. Really tasty with garlic bread. 20171025_184602.jpg

Yum! Now you've gone and done it - I may have to make a batch of zucchini lasagna tonight after viewing your pic! :drool I don't have lasagna noodles handy, but we still have some zucchinis from the garden that I need to use up. I sometimes sub zucchini in place of noodles, for a healthier, low-carb version.

Garden news - not much, as the garden is almost finished for the year. We did take down the fencing that was around the cabbage, and let the chickens have at it. They have been having a party chowing down on the plants the last few days.

This hoop coop is keeping me busy lately. Then husband fell out of a tree with a running chain saw! Busted ribs but ok otherwise. Boys!

Oh my gosh, that could have been disastrous! Not that broken ribs are anything to sneeze at, but it could have been so much worse. Glad he's relatively okay.
