What did you do in the garden today?

You are so sweet! No it's ok i saved a lot of regular pumpkin seeds, they should work fine. I just grow them for fun and to feed the critters. But keep us posted, would love to see some big pumpkins.
For those of you who haven't seen my woodburning project, here it is. Just need to do the whitewashing around the border.View attachment 1255499
Very nice! You are really talented.

Sweet! Did you draw first, then burn it in? What did you use for the color? I also like the border left natural, but I bet the white wash would really make the design stand out more.

Yes, i draw in pencil first. Then burn it. The colors are permanent markers which are then sealed. This one is already spoken for!

I have a few seeds sprouted.
Dill, rosemary, basil, okra, bunch onions, zenias and tomatoes.
3 out of 5 of my apple tree cutting are budding out.

I'm enjoying the fruits of my past labors. Opened my first jar of 2017 dilly beans. They are awesome, though they could be just a bit more hot. Still enjoying my home made salsa, raspberry jam, strawberry/rhubarb jam.
Dilly beans? What's that?

Speaking of rhubarb, I'm hoping to can some of our rhubarb this year - the plants will be four years old this spring, and are producing very nicely!

Use love it with a touch of sugar sprinkled had not given thought to that years nice memory thank you
Me too! Me and my brothers used to go out with a dish of sugar and eat rhubarb in the backyard. I forgot about it for years, but came across some rhubarb crowns in a garden shop 4 years ago, and had to buy some. When I tasted it last year for the first time in decades, it tasted just like I remembered it. I'm planning to make lots of goodies with it this spring, and also can some as well.
