What did you do in the garden today?

I always get waaaay too many seeds. It makes me happy and most of them last a few years, so I try to roll with it. :)

I have a few strawberry plants and just planted 85 more--will need to interplant veggies, since that took a lot of real estate. I had a couple of blueberry bushes, but they got suffocated by the &$#(^ confederate jasmine before I could get it under control. The blackberries are still growing strong, and I think my pomegranate bush may be coming back from the dead.
Had no idea you could grow pomegranate around here

That could make 4 helpers. Lol. When my daughter says she bored I hand her a shovel or a rake and suddenly she’s not bored haha. Spring seems to be delayed for a lot of people this year. It’s coming... I promise. I think ours just hit
I haven't done much. I have had my hands full with my 4 young kids, two of which have been out of school for two weeks due to a statewide teacher strike. It's supposed to freeze tomorrow night, so I pushed back my planting until next week. I'm itching to get my bush beans and melons in.

Today I began building my weird z trellis thing with bamboo and jute. Planting 3 diffent types of cukes soon so I’m making a z shaped trellis with 3 panels. I thought it would be a disaster but not bad so far. Cleaned up large branches by the woods to start building musk melon trellis. Replanted my tomatoes to larger pots cause they got huge and put them outside but some leaves started dying I noticed later in the evening. Don’t know what I did wrong. If all 16 go down I’ll be so upset

I dug up a small raised bed and added manure yesterday. Planted lettuce, cherry tomato plant, and cukes. Only 2 big beds and my cold frame need the soil turned. Got 2 beds planted earlier. Lovely weather!
Oh and a tree fell on my berry patch fence! What a mess, fence is the worse for wear. But hubby cut up the tree.

I replanted the rosemary this morning and put a cage around it so it doesn't get dug up again. I finished filling a bucket with scraps from the kitchen and the poop bucket in the coop is almost full so I'll be building sheet compost tomorrow morning while I water.

I happened upon 4 bales of hay and I broke them up in the coop yard. Helps with flies.
