What did you do in the garden today?

We got some heavy rain rather unexpectedly and all of the herb seeds I was trying to start washed away. Oh no... Well, things happen. My broody hatched out 8 healthy looking chicks out of 12 eggs. Would have been 9, but I found a dead chick stuck to her belly feathers. Looked to be stuck on with egg yolk and had some entrails on the outside of it's body, so I assume it was malformed in the first place, and then smooshed or dragged around a bit. Sad!

Maybe they will germinate downhill from where you planted them.

It rained hard after I planted spring onions ad carrots. The seeds washed but still germinated. Carrots were in raised bed so they stayed in there just not in neat rows but growing and the spring onions washed and are popping up with my cabbage. Maybe that’s good though to help with pests. Maybe your herbs will “ inter plant” themselves throughout and be dual purpose!

Already widespread power outages in the area and canceled school yesterday because so many trees down. At first I was worried about my garden washing away but looking at this forecast I’m afraid Partlow is gonna wash away! It’s small so it may take awhile for anyone to notice

Where do you live again? Your climate sounds similar to mine. No idea where Partlow is.
