What did you do in the garden today?

That zucchini has odd looking leaves as far as color. It’s kind of got like a gray hue to it at first I thought something was wrong and then I started doing a little looking and I’ve never planted gray zucchini And I supposed to look that way apparently. But with the growth of the vegetables came the growth of the weeds. So I guess I know what I’m going to spend the weekend on

I am so upset with eburgess again. They sent me another dead plant.

This is the 4th dead one they have sent me. I sent them the pic and the shipping label and asked them to have someone verify the new one is alive before they send me another one. So I will see what happens next...

Oh geez how annoying! I hope they make it right for you.

Thank you so do I. I asked them to please send the replacement asap. So I hope they do so it will make it through the winter.

I bought some others that will be here Tues from a vinyard. I know those will be alive. So at least next year I will have a nice variety.

Chick, are you certain the plant is not just dormant?

Today I did an hour of weeding before I even had my breakfast because it's gonna get hot during midday. I asked my partner G to weed a portion of the garden bed last night and remove anything big. He asked "It doesn't have to be perfect, you just want it plantable, right?" and I was like "Yea". Apparently he and I have different ideas of what "perfect" is because his "not perfect" was my "unacceptable". There were a lot of big (3-4") weeds and thin grass patches still. I have since re weeded the whole thing (I just tilled the top few inches by hand) and next time I will tell him it has to be perfect. :p

I planted six seedlings today, two tomatoes, and four peppers. I already have four huge tomato plants, in grow bags under my back deck. I strung jute string across the bottom of the deck to provide support because they have outgrown the tomato cages already.
I also had to pull another potato plant up that was a casualty of all the flooding we have had. It had completely withered
