We have winds here but not normally that horrendous I have slowly been adding bulbs guess maybe an age thing

I'm the iris queen here. Its not uncommon at at all for us to hit 50 several times a month. 70 isn't unheard of either. Top of a huge hill, open prairie, no trees. Woosh!

Yes but no not the country part like Washington always green on the western side.. Eastern is more desert

I'll do that at the end of january when we go well below freezing again.

I worked on the top bar hive. I still need to paint the roof, install the cedar shingles, paint the legs, and finish paintint the comb bars. Should be done tomorrow.

Some seeds I ordered have arrived! Have one more order I am waiting on for seeds. Then, need to get seed starting supplies.

One seed I purchased is a small French strawberry “mignonette”. Says it germinates better when put in fridge for a couple of weeks, then can take 30-40 days to germinate! Has a relatively low germination rate, too. So, time will tell if that is a success. I’ve placed an order for bare root strawberries, but they won’t arrive till late April/May. I haven’t ever grown my own strawberries, but have picked them at the homes of friends -so very tasty right off the plant!
