Hope the black snake was not a cotton mouth Welcome to the gardeners thread
Nope, just a pretty little thing. We got in her way, not the other way around!

Good morning gardeners and Happy Mother's Day to all. Yesterday I managed to get the back yard mowed. It was really tough going. Although the grass was dry, the soil underneath was spongy from all the rain. I finished filling one of the herb garden beds with dirt, one more to go. I'm not sure if I can work on that today, it's raining of course. I won't be putting anything in the ground until Wednesday. It's 45F right now and the temps are going down to the 30's later today. So right now I am surrounded by plants waiting to go outside.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. :love

Some of our children are two legged some have four.
No matter how they come to us we couldn’t love them more.
Today we honor Mom’s who always do their best.
Take a little break today
Get yourself some rest.
‘Cause by this time tomorrow with the rising of the sun.
We as mom’s take pride and joy in work that’s ...
Never really done. :th

Good Morning Gardeners.

My plants are waiting until Tuesday for putting in the raised beds. Rain last night and today. It was quite windy last night, so had to take in the veggies as I didn’t have a good place to get them out of the wind. Up until last night, they’ve been residing on the deck as I can usually get them out of the wind by putting them up against the house. Last night the wind was blowing full force onto my deck, nowhere to protect the plants! Quite cold next 2 nights. Wind predictions are for constant winds of 10-15 mph for several days.

Mother Nature needs to check her calendar! It’s Mid-May!!!
