What did you do in the garden today?

Good morning gardeners. Yesterday was hot and somewhat muggy. I watered the garden then did very little after. Today it's already 80F and 80% humidity. Ugh! Heavy thunderstorms forecasted for this afternoon, looking forward to it as we really need the rain. I mowed the front yard yesterday. It's much easier to mow with that sickly rhododendron gone. I picked peas, lettuce and radishes, then fed the drum composter with garden scraps from yesterday. I plan on picking up a few flowers this morning to plant where the rhododendron was. I'm thinking that might be a great spot for some of my daffodil bulbs. I feel so bad for the folks in California right now. Two major earthquakes, hopefully they won't get anymore of the big ones. The 7.0 quake must have been real scary. No more bug bites for now, but apparently I got a little poison ivy on my hand. Its always something. Have a great day everyone and stay cool!

whoot!

That is absolutely beautiful! :D

Today I filled the yard waste bin (a 96 gallon track can) with ladybells and weeds from the garden. Dear Lord where did all that thistle come from?
I still could fill it twice more with those very prolific ladybells.

I need to trim some shrubs and trees behind the chicken run.
:th It got to hot and muggy.
