What did you do in the garden today?

I feel your pain with moving (and paying for) all that dirt. We have 16 side dump truckloads under our barn! ((BARF))

:hit

Why not rent one of those Bobcat dump loaders, or do you already have a front loader on a tractor? Seems like spreading all that dirt calls for a mechanized solution, heck, maybe you have a friendly neighbor you could tap for an assist. 10 gallons of diesel seems like less pain to me.

I just pulled another gallon worth of tomatoes out of the garden. Mustard is looking good.

Going to let this garden go as long as she'll go! (But I'll pull mustard for seeds before they explode all over! LOL)

I would love to see what your harvesting for Mustard ?

OH yes. I have a tractor. It took two days and 20 gallons of diesel and a bobcat. We moved and compacted it when they would deliver each load in place. No way I'm moving more than a 20 pound bag by hand! I was talking pain in the wallet!

Well the city has gone totally insane, which we knew it would. ESPN game day is here, plus it's a big game anyway. We went into town at 10 to get the errands done, shopping done, animal feed and range time and lunch before escaping back to our hilltop. Worse than the day before Christmas!

We managed to clean the stalls and field poo before the lady coming to pick up an order got here. And then managed to cut toenails on one boy before the rain came. 3 more to go. Two grumpies and one tornado alpaca ( he spins and jumps when he's on his lead) to go.

I'm going to start my bean soup here in a minute and then go get the mustard.

Loved catching up with your gardening for the week! Still unusually hot and dry here. Lots of watering!

Today we started the long overdue project of getting our duck shack put together and attached to the coop. The ground is rock hard at the moment so leveling was a real PIA.

Depending on how long it takes to finish that up tomorrow...I think I'll start pulling the veggie garden and tilling it back up. The geese pretty much crushed any hope of a late pepper harvest for me this week! :rant

So jealous of those getting the rain! Please send some my way!!

Ohhh I also want to take pictures and show you guys the steal I found at a yard sale today!! Wrought iron cage trellises! (Obelisk trellis is what Google says they're called) Like 8 ft. tall!! The couple I got them off of says they came from Lancaster Co. PA, Amish country!! So excited to get these in my beds...and really hoping nobody drives by and likes them enough to steal them!! :fl

Hopefully tomorrow I will have some projects finished to share some pics!
Good night yall!:highfive:
