What did you do in the garden today?

They are calling for about an inch overnight but 1-3 inches Tuesday night and Wednesday. Very unusual for this time of the year here. We usually are having days in the 50-60s this time of the year. Snow doesn't hit until December or even January and before we have our first snow we usually have 2 or 3 ice storms. Just weird weather.

It didn't get above 41 and it was starting to drizzle when I went out to feed and water my flock and it's raining a steady, cold rain now.

Nebraska is a sister state to us....don't like hearing that you are getting snow there @Acre4Me. That means that it's going to be here way sooner than anybody wants.

I don't like how it all slows me down doing chores and the bulky clothes just make things more challenging. Plus I can't stay out as long as I like to be outdoors.

I get chilblains on my fingers and toes. Sigh.

Worked outside all day today though. Sunburned and all :D In shorts, in 40 degree weather. LOL.

ALready out of pureed cushaw squash. LOL. I'm hoping there will be more at the market later this week.

Are you closer to Kansas City than St. Louis? I live about an hour west of St. Louis and we didn't get any rain today. Our weather app says it will be cold enough to snow on Thursday but is calling for partly cloudy. Calling for rain on Wednesday.
Worked all afternoon on the stump and the brush pile. Got about half, maybe only a third?, of the brush pile burned. The stump only has about a third left to go!!

My mom said that the PT and OT people said they don't think she will need the around the clock caregivers after this next weekend!!

Probably KC is closer although it doesn't seem like by much. Maybe 30miles closer more or less.

We are in Macon County. If you look at the map, we are the third county down and the third across from the north east corner of the state.

I just read the weather.com forecast. 1 inch of snow tonight, then 1-3 tomorrow night, then another 1-3 on Wednesday. Just crazy weather for this time of the year. We usually don't see our first snow until closer to December. In fact the past couple of Thanksgivings has had temps in the 60s.

That is really great news about your mom, @karenerwin. She must have worked really hard at getting stronger. Congratulate her for me and tell her to keep up the good work.

Is it just me or does anyone else notice seasonally inappropriate stuff on sale at Walmart? They have fleece stuff on display down here between the produce and the registers. People will need fleece again in 10-15 years where I live.

I haven't put on my coats from Germany in years. You guy's please keep your snow. Now if someone made some fleece lined flipflops I would be interested, but that is due to the AC that never turns off except sometimes at night.

I'll gladly keep my scorpions if you guys keep your snow.
