What did you do in the garden today?

Dropped cookies off at the acreage down the road (one of the kiddie houses) and the little boy raced up and couldn't WAIT to tell me that they heard santa and he saw the reindeer and the shed (sled). LOL. He heard the bells and his brain filled in the rest. I'm not sure he's slept for two days! He's still so excited!

I have video if I can figure out how to post it.

Spent the entire day finding pictures for and creating the photo calendar that "my mom is making" to give to her grandson-in-law's ( my niece's husband) parents for Christmas. I don't have many pictures of them, nor did I know their birthdays or anniversaries. Both of which she wanted denoted on the calendar with pictures on the appropriate day.
Good thing my niece was willing to provide me with the dates I needed to know as well as some of the pictures and the names of the people I have never even met! I also trolled through some of their FB accounts and took photos from them for this project. :lau
I was thankful for those that did not have their photos set on private!!
But, it is now finally finished and I can pick it up from Walgreen's tomorrow so that my mom can gift it on Saturday.

Good morning gardeners. Awesome video @WthrLady. I visited my friend and his family yesterday and they gave me a quart of maple syrup. Now I won't have to make pancake / waffle syrup for quite a while. On my way to Boston my oil change light came on. Lucky me, I was able to schedule an appointment for today. The curious thing when I got home later in the day - when I went to check on the chickens, one of my BR pullets came running to greet me before I opened the door to the run. OMG! I don't know how she got out for sure but I suspect my neighbors at the end of the road (who were seen standing in front of my house the day before) were looking for free eggs. I'm thinking about putting a padlock on the door when I'm away. Am I crazy to do this? I'm just glad my girl is okay. She can fly so she is able to evade predators. But it was scary. Hoping today is less eventful. After the oil change I need to pick up some ceiling and trim paint on my way home. I'm hoping to make some progress on the bathroom painting project this weekend. I got an email from the Old Farmers Almanac announcing free seed catalogs availability. Dreaming of warmer days. Have a great day everyone.

@Wee Farmer Sarah I would put a padlock on my run and a camera to catch them so you call the police if necessary.

If my roosters crow @ night I always go out to find out what's going on too. I've heard one of neighbors walking her dog early in the morning during the summer and had the hell scared out of me by cats and owls.
