What did you do in the garden today?

Does anybody know anything about weeping willow's? My daughter and I have been dying to Plant one in memory of a friend and we definitely have the room to do it now I just wanna make sure I'm putting it in the best location
AT LEAST 50 feet away from any water lines, drains, tiles or septic tanks. Their roots follow the water and can be ridiculously damaging.

Other than that, full to partial sun and they love water.

Mulch them and they'll be able to hold their water better in the summer.

The spot that I really would love to plant it I automatically knew it was out of the question because the septic is too close and I've heard the roots spread. Power lines I don't need to worry about there's really nothing overhead There is a spot in the side yard near the woods where there's a small creek. There another spot I was looking at but how far should I stay from a building... like my garage

===============

Drove 4 hours round trip to pick up our 1/4 of a beast. The freezer is full. I hope it's a good cow. She's from the next hill over, but the butcher was far away for small herds.

Dragged 20yo son with me. Nice to get him some place new while he's home. He studied the whole trip. Eh, what can ya do? At least he saw sun.

2-3 inches of rain the next 48 hours, which is better than 15-30 inches of snow!

Pacas will have muddy feet, but their nails will be easier to trim. LOL. Like soaking in Pamolive!

Chickens will be annoyed about not going out. Too bad. They aren't ducks.

Weaving is toodling along.

Spent the evening making baby bibs for my 20-30 something friends that spent all the blizzards last winter getting busy. LOL. (had to quit when I ran out of ribbing)
