Take the big log I see laying sideways and flip it to stand up. Then hack a bowl into the top and plant it. An ax will easily remove rotted wood. It would be like a hugelkultur planter. I'd plant herb in it.What else do you see that will be useful for the garden in my posted photos?![]()
That's hillarious, but why succulents? Do you use them for anything?Make a greenhouse on the side of that gazebo my vision is not good enough to see all I guess but most of it ... The shelf, lay your aluminum on it then the plants .. clean up major stump turn into good seat.. The basement sink and bathtub are wonderful to plant in I have succulents growing out of old RV toilet![]()
That is way too much work. I have planters out the wazoo already. But is a very good wood chunk, not rotten.Take the big log I see laying sideways and flip it to stand up. Some nice pots, what look like seed starting trays and a great wheeled wagon to move them around with! FWIW I think I'd build a really nice strong garden shed and have sunny windows on one end or even a greenhouse attachment to it. I have a glass greenhouse that has turned into a catch all garden shed, it's a mess! If it didn't look so awful right now I would post a pic of it.What else do you see that will be useful for the garden in my posted photos?![]()
Good morning, does anyone in the group have a hobby sized greenhouse they start seeds in or grow in for a whole season? How large is it and how has it helped or hurt what your growing? My wife is considering getting me one for my birthday so she claims and I'm trying to research to get something most appropriate.
Currently, I have a small 5 shelf portable greenhouse I use to start seeds in but thats about all I use it for. I'd love to grow some container veggies that are more dependent on a steady not to hot climate. Thanks for any advice. Stay warm to those of you in colder regions battling the January freeze!

Having said that, it was nice for starting seeds in a heated seedling box. Early in the season it was too cold to grow anything and as soon as the sun came out it got way too hot. It had those rush roll up shades once upon a time but I don't know what happened to them, probably rotted and ended up in a burn pile. I haven't used it as a greenhouse in years, but I have no other garden shed so I guess I'm lucky about that. DH ran power to it and my chicken house so I'm very lucky to have lights up there!
