What did you do in the garden today?

@penny1960 in Germany Pizza Hut regularly did offer arugula leaves dropped on to small dollops of sour cream. That was always my wife's go to item. It appeared that the SC was baked with the pizza and the arugula was topped once pulled from the oven. I meant to say the above to you in my quote to you.
Pizza Hut!? Oh, you poor souls.

yes Germany was a terrible place that had food delivery and real high speed internet not like what we have in the country now. door what dash what the heck is that?
Well, I have no problem with food delivery and high speed internet. Pizza hit though... I'm from Chicago so I am opinionated about pizza. 😁

The tiller I got a deal on for $120 was delivered yesterday. I opened the shipping box and found a manufacturer box inside that was pretty beat up. As I unpacked the tiller, it was obvious somebody unpacked and repacked it before. The tines were already put together, bolts/nuts were already in some holes and the oil was already poured into the motor. I decided to put it together anyway and see if anything was missing, which fortunately nothing was. I didn't have gas on hand to start it yesterday though to see if it would run. I did open the gas cap and took a wiff. I didn't smell any gas fumes so it's possible gas was never poured into it.
Today I called Home Depot customer service to voice my frustration and make note of my concerns that something could be unknowingly wrong with the tiller. They offered to let me return the unit and replace it with another or credit $50 back to my card as a concession. I didn't want to take it apart and repack it if I didn't have too. So I took the $50, which resulted in my total investment being just $70+tax.
As icing on the cake, when I got home I poured gas into the tiller and it started right up and ran fine for several minutes before I turned it off after being satisfied with it. :celebrate

I am having a knee issue but I managed to pick some kale for dinner and lock the chickens up. This time of year is when kale is at its best. Steamed or sautéed just a little them put some butter on it!
It's never fun when your mobility is impacted. Hope your knee is better soon!

Good frosty morning all. It didn't drop into the zero range last night. It was 1F when I first got up. It is now 10F, yay! These bitter temps are getting a bit tiresome and cranking up the heating bill. I hope the tiller continues to work for you @BReeder! Some HD stores are terrible about putting damaged returned items back on the shelf to be sold again. That has happened to me more than once at one particular HD. I refuse to shop there anymore. My conehead cabbage seeds arrived yesterday. The fun news was the bag of potting soil I forgot about in the basement. So re-potting my Bay leaf bush is on the to do list today. I noticed some boards in my garage that I think might work for the new raised garden bed. The previous owner left so much stuff I'm still finding surprises after 2 years. The only outside work today is making sure the chicken's waterers are still flowing with liquid water. They do really seem to enjoy the ice sometimes. I had failed to mention this in a previous post @TropicalBabies, your house is very cute and very tropical looking (aka nice and warm). Thank you for the pictures. At least the sun is shining again today and we're warming up into the high 20F's. Spring is around here somewhere I think? Have a great day everyone.
