What did you do in the garden today?

Good morning gardeners. Well, it's still morning for me anyway. I went out to look at stuff in the garden today. The asparagus was leggy so I pulled it, not enough sun I think. The artichoke flowers are growing and the herbs survived transplant. No flowers on the alyssum or nasturtiums yet though. I still haven't started the sun garden bed yet, I haven't had a lot of motivation. Allergy season is here and I was having to ration my medication until there was more in stock. I went to my moms surgeon appointment yesterday and people were giving me the evil eye because I coughed a couple times. Oh well, I covered my cough. Here's a few snaps from the garden today, stay well everyone!

DH has moved from his office. Books are still there, but plants, computer, gym clothes are all home. His office here is set up, to include the green screen.

DS will be home tomorrow. I already feel invaded.

My etsy shop is back on its rack on the lower level. I have a HUGE pile of reproduction 18th century skirts to shorten, but then I'll be back to the loom.

I haven't figured out gardening chores for the week, besides digging holes for the new trees that are coming in the next two weeks. I'll need to pick up some nice compost soil from the county next week, if they're still open. Otherwise I'll have to buy it.

1st case in our county this morning (well that was TESTED)guy went to high risk area in Colorado and brought it back with him. Last Omaha woman was a woman who did the same to the same location. Oh well. Nothing to be done about it.

Should i use a heat mat for seed starting or light?
I'm using a mat for the first time this year. I have never used grow lights to start plants except in a planted aquarium. I could move a 48" LED light bar I have for an aquarium though to the plant table... that may be something I attempt when the plants actually sprout.

Sweet potato update:

Slips are growing very well on 3 of the 6 halves. I believe these are the top halves of the tubers. The other 3 halves are showing promising signs though as roots are growing in the water from the cut end below and the sides. There is a sprout on each of two of these as well. The third one is just beginning to grow roots, so I'm expected sprouts in the near future on that final peice.
