When I get more land this is what I wanted to do as well. Let me know if you find somewhere that is good.

How are the JG's?

I’ll come back and update if we’re able to plant it this year, gotta do research on when it must be planted and stuff. But for sure in Georgia we can plant pretty much anything, just gotta do it in the right season.

The JGs are still little chickies. I got a variety of colors. So 4 splash, 4 blue, and 4 black. I really need to take more pictures because I have not been. My husband doesn’t understand that they take months to years before you see the “giant” part He keeps saying, they’re pretty small (normal size)

They start growing taller around 6 months

Another beautiful day, just came in for lunch. I got some fertilizing done, cleaned the coop, and harvested lettuce. Yesterday I gave a neighbor my first Butter Crunch lettuce. I figure that guarantees my place in Heaven, right? Well it is my favorite...

Made a huge taco salad for lunch, yumm! We'll actually have to water the beds today, no rain last night. Lots more re-potting to do and I'll plant the rest of the asparagus starts since the first batch are doing good. Got to fertilize the railing herb pots and plant the mint and oregano. Still need to get the sage going dang it, I keep forgetting.

Wasted the better part of an hour sitting in the chicken run watching the ladies. They are so fun!

I spent 45 minutes getting to a human 3 calls then 4th got a person after 20 minute hold
somehow did not like my password on the mortgage site .. Explained I am old crotchety
lady just need the website fixed asked Please sell our mortgage made the payment

Penny you don’t get crotchety until you hit your 80’s. I’m guessing you’re practicing for that.

@NewBoots I love working from home because I can sit out on the deck with my laptop & watch the silly chickens! I have one crazy new pullet, I'm not sure if she's totally insane or a friggin riot! She's my new favorite - she just starts running & flying for no reason or she eggs on the mean girl, I love it. I can watch them all day.

No worries. It happens. I got really excited when I saw an impatien sprouting after just a few days. I’m not sure what is is but it’s definitely not a flower. Where are you. I haven’t had any luck with broccoli.

Like my cukes last year that turned out to be lemon cukes, I was soooo confused till you guys figured it out!

That would be quite the road trip.

I'm in. LOL, I'm so bored I'd hit the road right now.

So I've been wondering who's been going through my compost...caught red handed.

Well, it was a bit nerve wracking but I got all 5 frames of bees transferred into my hive. They have a frame feeder with 2 quarts of sugar water.
I even worked up enough nerve to scrap the extra honey comb off the top of the 4 frames that had it.
Big bonus, I did not get stung!

And there's nothing natural about playing with bees! Every cell in your body says "DO NOT OPEN THAT BOX!" LOL.

DH say's we'll never starve no matter the meat shortages, LOL.

I love your bees! I wish I could, but the bear are too much around here, I'd have to do electric & worry about my chickens.
