Those strawberries look delicious.

Good Morning Gardeners, it poured last night so my transplants should all we well watered in. @jerryse glad your back feels better now. And @igorsMistress and the rest of you folks with back issues, I hope you all feel better.

Just went out briefly (sun came out) and planted beet seeds and and took a shot at transplanting the ones I thinned from the main patch. It shouldn't work but I've had good luck transplanting some smaller ones so who knows?:idunno

I also picked about two dozen of those cabbage looper caterpillars off my broccoli and another ten or so off the cabbage. The chickens and perch were very happy.

Ordered some pork ribs, sweet potatoes, and lots of fresh fruit for the weekend. Got to go pick up the groceries soon. Planning on getting a couple half whiskey barrels to put in front of the coop & run. We've had the local handy guys add rock in back of the house and once it's all done I'll take pictures.

So we have a new dog that we have vetted and neutered. We had strong words today as I pulled another chicken from his mouth. It seems he wont be moving north fast enough for my tastes. You can't blame him he was never trained. UPS will be fixing that today as this dog thinks he is faster than me. He will learn radio collars work as fast as a human voice, btw, it isn't a training method I recommend easily. But after putting down one cat this week from his antics and watching my wife cry I'm going there.

His name is Bo or NoBo, he is a really great animal. He is just a bit remedial.
Dammit NoBo his fully registered name?

Baby Meat Chicks! Picked them up, gave them water and some food. They were really thirsty! They hatched yesterday/last night, and we picked them up at the hatchery. We bought 12 males. 6 each of the two types they sell, one is marketed as having more white meat. We've gotten and raised these before, but we don't see a huge difference in the white meat between them - maybe because both get quite big. One type has black marker on their face so we know which is which until we get them home.
