What did you do in the garden today?

Its been crazy hot humid here again the past few days . Not much work done . Tomatoes are starting to turn in numbers now , won't be long and we'll have sauce canning . Here's one of the Super Sauce fell off the stem today .

It will ripen up inside .
Have a great evening all .

RAINY - once noon hit, it has rained and rained.

Baby Chicks shipped!!! Yay! All boys, though. Hoping for tomorrow morning arrival. Who knows, though, with USPS - we did pay for express shipping, so that is why I am hopeful.

Before the rain hit, I got some pics:

One of the gourds flowered today. This one is called a "Spinning" gourd. It is likely going to be small since it was used by kids as a toy once dried, way back when.

Another baby gourd - I think this one is the birdhouse type

Thanks! Saved to my recipe folder! And that looks like a recipe you can use to clear out the fridge with.
Made some corn chowder and pancake mix biscuits for dinner after work.
I am so suggestible, now I want corn chowder.
Baby Chicks shipped!!! Yay!
Yay! Pics when they arrive!

Well I was a good kid, the mowing is done with some of the best clippings shared out to the chickens and rabbits. One causality though, I ran over one of the soaker hoses :p. At least I didn't break the mower. We ate those three cherry tomatoes at lunch and they were heavenly, I can't wait till we get a so many we can't eat them fast enough and I have to start drying them.

Fall Garden has germinated, Bok Choy! I love Bok choy. My Collards Germinated too and look exactly the same. The Swiss Chard did not germinate.

Can you tell me what you mix?
I have not actually tried it but MrLeeHo posted this recipe:

You can try either a garlic or pepper spray. Most things that eat the leaves won't like it. I know it works on mites. Lots of difference recipes, but basically simmer about 1tblsp of cayenne powder or crushed garlic (or both) per cup of water. Add about a tsp of dawn per cup and you can also add a drizzle of veg oil. The only problem is you will need to respray anytime it rains or if you water from above.
