What did you do in the garden today?

Turned the compost piles. Finished adding mulch to the artichoke bed. Finally finished taking down the old garden fence.

ah no wonder ours is huge. haha



its time to start basil and marigolds and some other things inside but I'm just not in the mood for houseplants at the moment. I'll have to get over it soon Haha

Oklahoma's frigid front has all my greenhouse groceries feelin poorly.. Some will recover but dang are we in for a week of frigid temps.. Good thing I started turning stuff over preparing for the upcoming crops..

I ordered some 6" and 4" pots in bulk for growing tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers indoors before transplanting. I'll be starting them in economical starter trays, but the tiny cells don't give much room for these plants.
I got 100 of both sizes and only spent about $35 with tax (shipping was free with Amazon Prime).

In other recent news today, the marigolds DS and I just planted the other day are already sprouting. I don't see much activity in the other flower trays, but I'm not expecting to see much for a month in those native flower plantings.

is DS darling spouse? or an acronym personal to you. I've never heard it but ive heard DH for darling husband so it seems logical. pardon me if I'm totally off base lol

I am itching to plant marigolds and basil in the house but I keep putting off getting something to plant them in
